class="multiple-line">メトッド・イメディアット（イミディアット・メソッド）は，コミュニケーション能力の養成に主眼を置いた教授法である。この教授法は1990年代後半に大阪大学のフランス人教師によって考案され，その後教科書の出版を機に，主にネイティヴの教師によって広く実践されるようになった。2007年の時点でフランス語，ドイツ語，英語そして日本語の教科書が出版されている。本論では，2003年度から2005年度に筆者が行ったメトッド・イメディアット式フランス語クラスでの経験を紹介するとともに，この教授法がもたらす効果について考察する。筆者は，毎回授業内で学習者全員に「会話テスト」を実施したのだが，このテストの存在によって，外国語に苦手意識を持つ学習者もフランス語学習に主体的に取り組む様子が見受けられた。授業を運営するにあたって実際に行った様々な工夫とその狙いを説明し，メトッド・イメディアットの発想を応用することでクラスを活性化させる方法も提案したい。</td>
