| 内容記述 | Resultative constructions have been a focus of attention by a number of linguists in different disciplines over many periods of time. The main goal of this study is to see how different approaches, i.e. inductive and deductive approaches to German resultative constructions, may shed light on the various aspects of the constructions, by taking a close look at the work of Tsugio Sekiguchi who was a forerunner of Japanese Germanist-linguists and other present-day analysis of the construction. It will be argued that Sekiguchi’s notions of Lativum and Ergebnisprädikat are specially relevant to the analysis of German resultative constructions. | |||||
