| 内容記述 | 本論の目的は，フランスの心霊主義の画家フルーリ・ジョゼフ・クレパンにおける心霊主義の影響を明らかにすることである。霊媒の力を借りて死者と交流することができるという信仰に基づく心霊主義の活動にクレパンが関わったのは1931年のことである。1938年から亡くなる1948年まで絵を描きつづけ，450点以上の油絵を残した。これまでは美術史でアール・ブリュットを代表する画家として扱われることが多かったクレパンを，本論では，彼自身が関わった心霊主義の理論や代表的な霊媒画家の活動と作品と照らし合わせて，クレパンの霊媒画家としての創作の独自性を浮き彫りにすることに努めた。クレパンが当時住んでいた北フランスに心霊主義が流行した社会的背景を明らかにした上で，心霊主義の実践と理論の関係を確認し，同時代に活躍した心霊主義の画家オーギュスタン・ルサージュの創作から受けた影響の射程を明らかにした。クレパンが心霊主義の理論に忠実に創作活動を行いながらもそこに独自の解釈を施して表現していることを，綿密な作品分析を通じて論証した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this article is to clarify the influence of the Modern Spiritualism on French painter Joseph Crépin, who took part in this movement as a medium from 1931 until his death in 1948. The Modern Spiritualism is a movement based on the belief that we can take contact with the dead through the assistance of a medium. As a distinguished medium-painter, Crépin heard the voice of the Spirit and created more than four hundreds oil paintings. Today he is regarded as one of the representative painters of The Outsider Art in the Art history. But we forget often the fact that he participated assiduously in the Spiritism. In this article, we try to demonstrate that his activities of the Spiritualism encouraged him to invent the original expression. Crépin is influenced by the cultural and social context of the Northern France, the theory of Spiritism and the paintings of Augustin Lesage, medium-painter. | |||||
